Tulsa Municipal Court to Host "Clear Your Warrants" Event for Unpaid Traffic and Parking Citations

Tulsa Municipal Court announces the Clear Your Warrants event for individuals with outstanding parking and traffic citations. These sessions align with the Resilient Tulsa Strategy, a program designed to equip all Tulsans with the necessary resources to overcome barriers and thrive.
 
On March 2nd, individuals can avoid additional warrants or late fees by paying their citations in full with a cashier. For those who can’t pay the fines in full, they can request to see a judge and establish a reasonable payment plan. If you have a citation for no/expired tag or no/expired insurance, remember to bring proof of current, active status insurance to be eligible for a low-or-no-cost dismissal.
 
In-person payments can be made at Municipal Court, located at 600 Civic Center, 2nd floor. If you want to see a judge, you can do so from 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. on March 2.
 
Tulsa Municipal Court understands that some individuals may face financial difficulties while paying their fines. There are options available to them, such as requesting a Cost Hearing with a judge at the municipal court. The judge will evaluate an individual’s financial situation and determine if they can set up a payment plan. In some cases, the judge may refer the individual to the Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) for additional assistance. FEC offers a free one-on-one session with a financial counselor who can provide guidance on financial management. Upon completion of three sessions with the FEC counselor, the individual will be eligible for a waiver of $250 in court fines and fees.
 
For individuals with physical disabilities who are visiting the Tulsa Municipal Court building, the turnabout drive can be used for easy access if they are dropped off. The turnabout is on the plaza level, on the north side of the building, opposite the Aloft Hotel. If arriving by car and using the parking area, they should go to the east door of the building on the parking level. A buzzer system is in place to request entry, where they will be escorted to the plaza level by elevator.
