Street Rehabilitation on E. 21st St. between S. Yale Ave., S. Sheridan Rd. to Begin January 20; Project to Affect Traffic
1/16/2025
The City of Tulsa will begin a street rehabilitation project on East 21st Street between South Yale Avenue and South Sheridan Road starting Monday, Jan. 20.
This project consists of milling- removing the old surface of the road, patching where needed under the surface, and then repaving the road with new asphalt. Additional infrastructure improvements will also occur, such as upgrading sidewalks and curbs and installing new stormwater drainage systems.
During this project, the initial phase will include the closure of both eastbound lanes while westbound lanes will remain open to accommodate two-way traffic. Once repairs on the eastbound lanes are complete, the project will move to phase two, during which the westbound lanes will close and eastbound lanes will open for two-way traffic.
The City of Tulsa has contracted with Becco Contractors for this $2,437,000 project funded through the Improve Our Tulsa 2 sales tax extension. Construction is scheduled for completion in November 2025.
