Situation Update
The City continues to operate under CDC, Tulsa Health Department (THD) and Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) guidelines. To date, there have been five confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in Tulsa County.
Today, THD officials announced the first COVID-19 associated death in Tulsa County, which is also the first death in the state of Oklahoma. The investigation remains ongoing; however, this is the first confirmed instance of community spread in Tulsa County.
Water & Sewer/ Refuse & Recycling
Lysol wipes, baby wipes (even if they say flushable), paper towels and feminine products cannot be flushed. The City’s Water & Sewer Department has already taken several calls in reference to Lysol wipes getting caught in the sewer system. Additionally, to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19, the City is asking all refuse items be placed in a sealed trash bag that is placed inside your closed gray trash bin to help protect employees. City of Tulsa refuse and recycling services are operating as normal for trash pickup.
Travel Guidelines
If traveling domestically or internationally, especially if you’re coming back to Tulsa from Spring Break, THD recommends you should monitor your health and practice social distancing for 14 days after returning from travel. Travelers who are sick with fever, cough or have trouble breathing should stay home and call ahead before seeking medical care.

Residents needing to pay utility bills, municipal traffic tickets and use police and 311 reporting can do so on the City’s E-Services portal at: https://www.cityoftulsa.org/residents/payments-and-e-services/
Water Shutoffs/Other Utility Services
The City and TMUA (Tulsa Metropolitan Utility Authority) have temporarily stopped water shutoffs. Residents without water should call 311. PSO and ONG have also suspended non-payment disconnections.
Housing Impacts
Evictions are suspended in Tulsa County. Any tenant who receives an eviction or foreclosure notice does not have to move out until a law enforcement official or a court tells them to do so. Because civil hearings are suspended, residents cannot be forced from their homes until April 15 at the earliest. Business Impacts & State Resources
All bars, gyms, movie theaters, entertainment venues and food courts in Tulsa should be closed. Restaurants, coffeeshops and other similar businesses with lounge and fixed seating areas are to only offer pick-up, carry out, or drive-thru options. Basic Health Tips
Much like the flu, COVID-19 is spread from person-to-person contact. Contraction can best be prevented through proper hygiene and social distancing practices.
