City Hall, Municipal Court, Other Facilities to Close Wednesday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day; Trash Service Will Operate as Usual

City Hall, Municipal Court and other City facilities will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.

Residential refuse, recycling, bulky waste and yard waste collection will operate as usual on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The City’s mulch site at 2100 N. 145th East Ave. will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11. On Thursday, Nov. 12, the mulch site will resume its usual schedule: open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. except for City holidays.

The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N. Erie Ave. will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11, and will reopen on Thursday, Nov. 12. Here is the usual schedule for the animal shelter: open Monday and Tuesday noon to 6 p.m., closed Wednesday, open Thursday through Saturday noon to 6 p.m., and open Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11, but the parks’ outdoor facilities will be accessible as usual. Red Bud Valley Nature Preserve and the Oxley Nature Center visitor center will be closed on Wednesday, but Oxley Nature Center trails will be open.

Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses, as well as the Tulsa Zoo, will be open on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Tulsa Transit will provide its regular schedule of bus service on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
