The City of Tulsa will hold a public meeting on Monday, Jan. 29, to present updates on the Brownfields program. The meeting will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Library Hall of Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford Ave.
On Jan. 10, a Public Notice was published in the Tulsa World regarding the availability of the Brownfield Proposal for Cleanup of the Evans Fintube site located at 118/150/186 N. Lansing Ave. The cleanup proposal seeks to remove impacted soil from the site. Information regarding the Brownfield proposal will be presented during this public meeting.
This Brownfields Proposal for Cleanup can be reviewed during normal business hours at Rudisill Regional Library or the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality Central Records Office, 707 N. Robinson Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73102. The public may review and submit comments regarding the Brownfields Proposal to DEQ project manager, Mr. Sam Hooker, at ODEQ, P.O. Tulsa also is looking toward future brownfield projects. The City of Tulsa submitted a grant application to the Environmental Protection Agency in November 2017 for brownfield assessment funding. Grant awards are anticipated for May 2018, with funds becoming available by October 2018.
